About AMG
The Advocate Medical Group (AMG) was founded by its Director, Dr Declan Green in November 2009 with the opening of Advocate Medical Centre in Box Hill, Victoria.
AMG’s aim is to develop a small group of quality general practices through either acquisition or foundation. Declan’s philosophy is to ensure that each practice and its doctors maintain their individuality and autonomy as much as possible. Without layers of management stifling responsiveness, Declan is able to address any issues as they arise and as a practicing GP, he understands the demands of General Practice in the current economic and political climate.
Declan graduated from Monash University with First Class Honours for his medical degree. He has also uniquely qualified to run a medical centre business being both a Fellow of the Australian College of General Practitioners and a recipient of a Masters of Business Administration from the renowned Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in Chicago.
If you are wondering about the future of your general practice and would like to discuss your succession plan options or would like to discuss working in one of AMG’s medical centres, feel free to contact Declan.
